Dialing In: Quick Setup Guide

How to use (quick guide)
1. Dose: 18–20g.
2. Distribute & tamp: Distribution tool → level → tamp evenly.
3. Pull the shot: Aim for a 1:2 ratio (e.g., 18g in → 36g out) in ~25–30 sec, adjusting grind as needed.

Upgrade your De'Longhi Dedica with a bottomless portafilter that looks as good as it performs. The almond wood handle adds a premium touch to your home setup, while the naked design gives you a clear view of your extraction — making it easier to dial in your grind, tamp, and distribution every single shot.

Made from rust-resistant 304 stainless steel with a smooth, easy-clean basket chamber and no dead angles. A 51mm double basket is included.

Why go bottomless? A bottomless portafilter removes the spout entirely, letting espresso flow directly from the basket. You'll instantly see channelling, uneven flow, and extraction issues that a standard spouted portafilter hides. Fix what you can see, and your shots will improve fast. You'll also get noticeably more crema — without the spout disrupting the flow, the natural emulsion stays intact all the way to the cup.

Machine compatibility Designed for 51mm 3-ear De'Longhi machines: EC680, EC685, EC695, EC785, EC885, and the Smeg ECF01.

This portafilter is not compatible with the De'Longhi La Specialista range (EC9335, EC9355, EC9665, EC9865) or the Dedica 3.0 EC950M — different locking mechanism. If you're unsure which model you have, check the label on the base of your machine or get in touch and we'll confirm it for you.

Using the E setting - time and weight I can now easily see of my shots are within the weight ration and ideal pour time.
One just has to judge the shot button press for the end of pour delay when programming the shot button

A fantastic addition to my coffee set up. This is very solid, a nice weight, and looks great too. I wasn't sure if having a proper tamper would make a difference (I had the standard Breville tamper from the dual boiler but wanted something nicer looking) but I've been pleasantly surprised how it has made tamping easier.
