Upgrade your espresso routine with a tamper that earns its place on the bench. The 58.5mm Almond Solid Wood Coffee Tamper is machined a touch wider than a standard 58mm tamper for a snug, edge-to-edge fit in 58mm baskets — sealing the puck right to the rim so water can't slip around the sides.

Turned from solid almond wood with a precision 304 stainless steel base, it has the heft and balance you feel the moment you pick it up. At a well-judged 380 grams it lets gravity do the work, so you tamp evenly without forcing it. The handle is fully removable for easy cleaning.

Incredibly satisfied across all areas here, amazing value, fantastic perfomance, rapid delivery. The level of luxury this brings away from 240v mains in incredible. I use it in my office as a matter of course now. Grinds 19g of beans very evenly and with low retention in approximately 2 mins.

Hefty and wellmade

After seeing some reports of portafilters ejecting from the Dedica line, I was worried about finding a quality portafilter that would fit correctly. However, after pulling multiple shots, it's clear this thing is well built and I have seen no evidence of ejection. It's heavier than the stock portafilter, made with better material, and looks great. I'm very happy with this.

Should have done this year's ago

I have been using a Breville DB for years, on my second one. Have always been able to get good coffees but had to constantly fiddle with grind and dose to stop channelling. Recently nothing I tried seemed to work. As soon as I replaced the stock diffuser and screen with this, every shot is perfect. Had to reduce the dose slightly, but every shot is way more balanced without anywhere near the amount of adjustment I used to have to do.
Highly recommended this and I really should have done this year's ago. For the price it is an absolute bargain.
